Surrender to the need to take care of yourself, to your desire to glean more from your life, to your craving to heal, and to your yearning for calm amongst the chaos. Through Champagne Travel, you can surrender yourself to travel experts (that’s me!) who’ll deliver a single, seamless itinerary—because you have more than enough on your plate right now.

With an empathetic planning approach, intuition for well-paced exploring, and a global address book of insider places & experiences, I’ll design just that for you. So come, take a sip of adventure—and fill yourself back up.

It started with a glass of champagne—which I refused when the waiter offered me a flute at breakfast. It’s only 10 a.m., I scoffed. I turned down another offer of bubbly at lunch time.

But by dinner, I surrendered. I wasn’t much of a champagne person back then (boy, was that about to change), but that first sip tasted like, well, freedom.

I had a glass of champagne with every meal after that—because it finally hit me, hey, I’m on vacation! But drinking wasn’t all I did; I journaled, I read, I dipped my toes in the water. I laughed, I cried, I SLEPT. I cracked myself open and put myself back together, and in doing so, I truly felt the weight of the world roll off my shoulders.

And I know none of that would’ve happened if I didn’t drag myself onto the plane, across the Caribbean Sea, and into a stunning setting that gave me the space and time to just let it all go and—finally—breathe

No part of my life was left untouched by my travel experience. In fact, I became more comfortable and confident in my career. I became more compassionate and understanding in my personal relationships (and more firm in my boundaries). Moving forward, I vowed to take the time to celebrate not just my big accomplishments, but my every day self as well—because hey, life is hard. And getting through it deserves some major kudos.

And so, I switched up my career, spent years cultivating contacts with the best of the best within the travel industry, and now help women who’ve been in my shoes slip them off and sink into a transformative travel experience of their very own.

I returned home changed and recharged.

But the transformation I underwent in the next 10 days was nothing short of magical.

At Champagne Travel, my team and I don’t just plan a trip for you.
We help you surrender.

The Champagne Travel story starts in the middle of the Kuwaiti desert, at the end of 2020. As a lawyer and JAG officer in the Air Force, I was tapped to lead an investigative report—one that would end up in front of Congress—and I was working with a dispersed team scattered across time zones to tackle a highly sensitive, emotionally fraught subject matter. I would slump into bed in the early a.m. after hitting send on an email, and wake up a few hours later to dozens more.

And of course, all of this was playing out against the backdrop of the hardest year the world has collectively faced—read: the pandemic—in some time. It was high stress and high stakes—and the whole situation had me feeling like it was high time for a breakdown.

After 86 straight days and nights of grueling work (no weekends off), I found myself sobbing in the middle of my living room floor, my pup lapping up the tears. Something needed to change. I just didn’t know what.

When my boss suggested I take some leave, I followed orders … and arrived at a resort in the Dominican Republic as just a shell of myself.

And break down I did.
